Low Vision Problems

Unfortunately sometimes spectacles simply aren’t enough. Sight threatening conditions such as macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy can damage your sight beyond repair and  additional help is necessary. For those patients who are registered sight impaired or blind, or simply having difficulties with their sight which cannot be helped with spectacle lenses, we run a low vision clinic to provide help and support.

Magnifiers and advice are available from our specialist optometrists in our low vision clinic for those who need additional assistance. We have been involved with the Lanarkshire Low Vision Scheme since it’s inception and work with a number of charities. Simply call us and request an appointment for a low vision assessment.
